Cape Town, South Africa – Friday 1 September – Spatial Dimension has announced today that global information management software company acQuire Technology Solutions (acQuire), a subsidiary of Vela Software, has completed its acquisition of Spatial Dimension from Trimble.
Under this new structure, Spatial Dimension will operate as a standalone business focusing on the expansion of the Landfolio user base globally, while supporting and enhancing the functionality of Landfolio for all of our customers.
Alison Atkins, acQuire’s CEO, welcomes the addition of Spatial Dimension as part of a broader growth strategy for the company.
“This latest acquisition adds valuable land management expertise to acQuire’s growing portfolio within Vela” Atkins said.
“Our success as a global provider of information management solutions, plus being backed by Vela Software, means we can leverage expertise and partners to further advance Spatial Dimension and it’s product, Landfolio, into new markets and geographies,” Atkins said.
Bill Feast, Spatial Dimension’s CEO, said “We are very excited to join Vela Software, within the acQuire portfolio. We share their vision of solving our customers’ challenges with great technology paired with global domain expertise. We look forward to our next growth phase under their ownership and would like to thank Trimble for their support and leadership over the past 8 years.”
Matt Delano, Trimble’s General Manager, Land Administration, said “ There are strong synergies between the teams at acQuire and Spatial Dimension that can be leveraged to further enhance value for our customers. While the Landfolio business has thrived under Trimble, the new ownership should accelerate results for the business and continue to improve the experience and offerings for our customers.”
