Spatial Dimension, together with partners Swedish Geological and the Raw Materials Group, has won a five year European Development Fund tender to support the Mineral Resource Authority in Papua New Guinea.
The specific objective of this project is to promote PNG’s mineral sector to international investors. Papua New Guinea’s mineral sector has acquired during the last 5 to 10 years, a negative image as a “high cost low returns “country. This has overshadowed the fact that this country has one of the most promising geological potential for mineral deposits and explains why mineral exploration budgets have decreased continuously since 1989.
Spatial Dimension will develop an internet portal to provide the international community with information regarding the mineral sector in Papua New Guinea.
