On the 10th anniversary of our first Mining Cadastre project, Spatial Dimension* is pleased to announce that FlexiCadastre has been selected as Papua New Guinea’s Mineral Tenement Management System.

The Mineral Resource Authority of Papua New Guinea, through the World Bank’s Second Mining Sector Institutional Strengthening Technical Assistance Project, recently completed the evaluation of the bids submitted for the development of a fully integrated Mineral Tenement Management System. Spatial Dimension’s bid was successful, and pending final negotiations and contract signing, the 12 month project is expected to commence in July 2013.

“Spatial Dimension is obviously excited by the prospect of deploying FlexiCadastre in Papua New Guinea. We are honoured to be recognised for our proven track record of numerous mining cadastre implementations, our prior experience in the region and our team of qualified implementation experts allocated to this project.”

“It is a very special win for Spatial Dimension, coming exactly 10 years after our first mining cadastre project, a World Bank funded project in Mozambique. Over the past decade, investments into and production from the Mozambique mining sector have increased dramatically. The Ministry of Mineral Resources in Mozambique, through our FlexiCadastre Software Maintenance Program, has been able to continually upgrade their Mining Cadastre System, allowing them to stay current and relevant not only with the significant changes in technology during the past decade but also with changes to their Law and Regulations, and other Institutional reforms.”

“We look forward to working with the great team within the Mineral Resource Authority to implement a modern and sustainable Mineral Tenement Management System that will assist in promoting PNG as the mining destination of choice for decades to come,” said Bill Feast, Chief Executive of Spatial Dimension.

*Trimble acquired Spatial Dimension on September 2, 2015. FlexiCadastre is now part of the Landfolio software suite.
