Spatial Dimension* is pleased to announce that it has recently been awarded a contract by Ghanaian Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning to provide system and data integration services to the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources (MLNR).

The goal of the project, funded by the European Union through the Mining Sector Support Programme (MSSP), is to ensure that existing systems and databases throughout the MLNR are integrated through modern and scalable web-based technologies.

About the Ghanaian Mining Sector Support Programme

The European Union has provided funding to the Government of Ghana, under a Mining Sector Support Programme (MSSP) to sustain the country’s mining sector economic performance and alleviate poverty by increasing employment and to mitigate the mines’ negative environmental impacts. The specific purpose is to enhance institutional capacities within the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources to effectively promote and regulate the mineral resources sector in order to reverse trends of reduced private-sector mineral exploration, while facilitating the development of sustainable medium-term projects.
