A consortium of consisting of Swedish Geological, Spatial Dimension* and Sunshine Projects has won a World Bank funded project to establish a web-based Geological and Mineral Information System. The project is part of the Sustainable Management of Mineral Resources Project within the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development, Uganda.

Spatial Dimension will be responsible for the design of the Geological and Mineral Information System (GMIS) that will provide for both intranet and internet portals into Uganda’s geo-science data.
